Kilts and accessories are meant to last a lifetime, but real life happens. At Ault Kilts in Glasgow, Scotland, we offer careful kilt repairs and sympathetic alterations to extend the life of your favourite pieces. From loose buckles and torn linings to re-sizing the waist or adjusting the drop, each item is assessed and finished by hand using traditional methods.

We specialise in invisible reweaving, moth hole repair, strap and buckle replacement, waistband work and structural tartan restoration. You can visit us in Glasgow or send your kilt by post from anywhere in the UK using our mail-in repair service.

Mail-In Repairs & Returns
All kilt repairs and alterations are handled via our mail-in service. Customers are responsible for arranging delivery of their garment to us. Once repairs are complete, we can arrange return shipping using a reputable courier for a fixed charge. While we take reasonable care in packaging and selecting couriers, items are transported by third-party carriers and we cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage beyond the cost of the repair service itself. Customers who wish to retain full control over transit and insurance are welcome to arrange their own return courier.
