Returns & Refunds Policy

This policy applies to all products and services provided by Aultkilts.

Custom-Made Kilts

All kilts are made to order based on the measurements, tartan, fabric, and design options selected by the customer.

In accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, custom-made or personalised items are non-returnable and non-refundable, including in cases of:

  • Change of mind
  • Incorrect measurements supplied by the customer
  • Minor variations in colour, fabric, or pattern

Customer-Provided Measurements

Where you provide your own measurements, you accept full responsibility for their accuracy. We are not liable for fit issues arising from incorrect or incomplete measurements supplied by the customer.

Kilts made using customer-provided measurements are not eligible for return or refund unless the item is faulty or not made in accordance with the agreed specifications.

Faulty or Incorrect Items

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (as applied in Scotland), goods must be as described and of satisfactory quality.

If your item is faulty or significantly different from your order, please contact us within 14 days of delivery and provide clear photographic evidence. Where a fault is confirmed, we will offer a repair, replacement, or refund as appropriate.

Repair & Alteration Services

Repair and alteration work is provided as a service. Once work has been carried out, items cannot be returned.

If you believe repair work has not been completed with reasonable skill and care, please notify us within 14 days. We will offer a repeat performance where feasible or a price reduction where appropriate.

Refunds are not available for dissatisfaction with appearance where the work was carried out as agreed, or for issues caused by wear and tear, pre-existing damage, or incorrect measurements supplied by the customer.

Postage & Transit

Customers are responsible for insured postage unless an item is confirmed to be faulty. We are not responsible for loss or damage in transit.
